I knew from the very first phone call that I needed to be Jessica and Justin’s day-of coordinator! Talking about their wedding details, and the pure energy and excitement they radiated about the day, got me so excited and eager to be a part of it all!
Jessica and Justin were a wedding planners dream and definitely made my job easy! Their wedding was at Belmont Manor, which happens to be one of my favorite venues to work at. BUT! The thing with Belmont is, it ALWAYS seems to rain when I have a wedding there. No lie-- A couple of years ago there was a tornado watch and a thunderstorm and I had to move 200 people from the tent to the manor house with 2 hours left of their reception. Phew!
The morning of Jessica and Justin’s wedding they were calling for a chance of rain but I was hopeful we could work around the showers and still have the ceremony outside. After going back and fourth they agreed to do it outside, and you guessed it, it rained. But thanks to Jessica and Justin’s laid-back attitudes they embraced every second of the ceremony and have some of the sweetest photos I have ever seen.
Luckily the rain quit in time to get some amazing photos in, which the lush backdrops of Belmont’s gardens are so perfect for! In addition to her stunning wedding gown, Jessica wore an amazing red dress for a traditional tea ceremony. Then a special guest showed up at the reception-- That’s right, there was a traditional Lion Dance and it was easily one of the coolest things I have ever seen!
Jessica and Justin – Thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your wedding day. I am so glad to have been a part of your love story. I hope your first year of marriage was nothing short of amazing. Here’s to many more!
